External Cloud Link [Basic feature]
You can link IIJ Secure MX Service with third-party cloud email systems such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and enhance your security measures.
With the addition of email security functions that cannot be handled by the cloud email system alone, you can build a secure cloud email system environment that supports a range of functions: from enhancing measures against various external email threats typified by targeted attack emails, to providing measures against erroneous transmissions, information leaks, and domestic storage of email archives.
With IIJ Secure MX Service, you can add email security functions to Microsoft 365 by using the "External cloud links" function.
Microsoft 365 Account Link [Basic feature]
By using Microsoft 365 together with the IIJ Secure MX Service, protection feature against information leaks and erroneous transmissions will be remarkably enhanced. This multi-layer protection measure will enhance security against various external threats.

*1 With the high availability of the IIJ Secure MX service, email delivery can be put on hold during failures of Microsoft 365 or other relay email servers or during maintenance.
Advantages of Integrating with Microsoft 365
Improve threats email detection rate
Using a multi-layer filter consisting of multi-layer antivirus filtering, email authentication filter, attachment filter, and others enables threat email to be detected before reaching Microsoft 365. This approach reduces the risk of infection by undetected malware.
Enhance security to prevent information leaks and erroneous transmissions
Adding protection against erroneous transmission, which is missing in Microsoft 365, helps reduce the risk of information leaks.
Our service enables you to implement control in accordance with corporate policies via features including retraction after initial sending, automatic encryption of attachments, and even supervisor approval of email.
Mitigation of risk during failures
In case Microsoft 365 is unavailable due to some failure or maintenance, email can continue to be exchanged without having to change current email addresses. Email client settings do not need to be changed. All you have to do is to access to the IIJ Secure MX Service Webmail.

Support for system email relays
With SMTP relay feature, customer can specify IIJ Secure MX Service as the relay for email transmission systems that do not support SMTP authentication. This eliminates the need to prepare a separate outbound server.
Account integration with Microsoft 365
When Microsoft 365 is used together with this service, Microsoft 365 email account information is automatically linked with account lists (whitelists) used by this service. This feature eliminates having to register accounts twice and so reduces load on operations.
