IIJ Closed Network (IIJ Private Backbone Service)

About the Service Overview

The IIJ Closed Network (IIJ Private Backbone Service) is a closed network for the interconnection of various IIJ network services and cloud services. The target services are provided for free to subscribed customers.

Service Features

Providing a Dedicated Closed Network for Customers

We provide a dedicated network for customers on the backbone, which extends across IIJ service facilities. The network provides interconnectivity centered around the IIJ private backbone, enabling various IIJ network services and cloud services to be used together.

East Japan and West Japan Multi-Region Connectivity

In consideration for Disaster Recovery (DR), a redundant configuration can be built by including connection points between the customer's location and a different region (East Japan or West Japan).

Utilization as a Multi-Cloud Hub

Closed connections can be established not only for IIJ services, but also for several other cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and AWS, enabling the IIJ Private Backbone Service to function as a multi-cloud hub.
