IIJ Obtains ISO/IEC 27017:2015 Certification for Three Services: Operations Management, Remote Access, and Authentication | News

TOKYO - April 4, 2022 - Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (TSE Prime: 3774) obtained ISO/IEC 27017:2015 certification (*), an international standard for information security measures for cloud services, for its three services: unified operation management service, remote access service, and identity as a service, as of February 25, 2022.
This certification certifies that the services provided are in compliance with ISO/IEC 27017:2015, a code of practice for information security management measures for cloud services, by a third-party organization. The services that received the certification are as follows.

IIJ Unified Operation Management Service (UOM)

It is a SaaS-type service that streamlines system operations and operational tasks, enabling automation of tasks related to monitoring and operations from cloud to on-premise.

IIJ GIO Remote Access Service

This service provides highly reliable remote access to internal networks and IIJ services over the Internet from anywhere.

IIJ ID Service

It is a cloud-based ID management service (IDaaS) that enables a single sign-on (SSO) to access multiple services

IIJ has acquired ISO/IEC 27017:2015 certification for 14 services, including the IIJ GIO Infrastructure P2 cloud (IaaS) service, e-mail and web access security services, and network-related services. In addition to the newly acquired services, a total of 17 cloud services have been certified, and as one of the leading certified companies in Japan, IIJ will continue to provide highly transparent and reliable services to its customers.

(*) ISO/IEC 27017:2015: An international standard for security management of cloud services issued in 2015 based on guidelines issued by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. It defines security management measures that should be implemented by users and operators of cloud services, and the Japanese government recommends its use as a standard for judging the reliability of cloud services.
