Offering JPY990 per month (tax included) for the 4GB Giga Plan (with voice calls) to all customers, starting April 1

TOKYO-March 1, 2022-Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, TSE1: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced new monthly prices for its IIJmio Mobile Service Giga Plan. The revised prices for these personal MVNO service plans take effect on April 1, 2022. Since April last year, when it was mandatory for all retail stores to show tax-inclusive prices, IIJ has heard from many customers that prices with fractions are complicated to understand and remember. In response, it has revised its prices to make them easier to understand and more reasonable by reflecting repeated quality and cost improvements.

Prices have been lowered for all data plans except those for eSIMs. For instance, the most popular plan, the 4GB Giga Plan with voice service, will be available at JPY990 including tax, which is less than JPY1,000. The new rates will automatically take effect from April 1 for current customers and new customers who apply for the service on IIJmio's website or at electronics retail stores nationwide.

(*)Each line will incur a SIM card fee of JPY433 for Type-D SIMs, JPY446 for Type-A SIMs, and JPY220 for eSIMs (all prices include tax).
(*)The monthly fee for the first month of a subscription will be prorated per day. Customers will also incur fees until the last day of a plan's cancellation month, regardless of their desired cancellation date.
(*)Call charges are not included in monthly voice service fees. The available voice call service options include Flat-Rate Calls and Miofone Dial.
(*)Billing for eSIMs begins as soon as the activation code is issued after an application is approved.
(*)Because consumption taxes are added to pre-tax prices, the final billed fees may change due to fractional rounding.
