How to Listen/Playback Environment

Users can listen just by installing the PrimeSeat iOS app. PrimeSeat offers high-resolution audio in a wide range of formats, up to DSD 11.2 MHz/1 bit. However, when played on iPhone devices, the audio is converted to either 48 kHz or 44.1 kHz audio. Users can listen to even higher quality high-resolution audio by connecting the iPhone to a USB D/A converter (USBDAC)(*).

  • (*)PCM formatted audio is compatible with native playback at up to 192 kHz, while DSD formatted audio is compatible with native playback at up to 11.2 MHz. High-quality high-resolution audio playback requires large volumes of data communications, so IIJ recommends that users listen via Wi-Fi networks.
