- Question: Please provide an update on the progress and outlook of the digital currency business operated by DeCurret DCP Inc., an equity-method affiliate.
- Answer: During the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, JAPAN POST BANK Co., Ltd. is scheduled to issue the digital currency "DCJPY," and collaboration projects with multiple financial institutions and business companies are also progressing. On the other hand, as investments and expenses such as system development have been incurred ahead of revenue generation, the timing of reaching monthly break-even is expected to be delayed. Accordingly, DeCurret DCP is currently reviewing the business plan.
- (*)On July 1, 2026, DeCurret Holdings Inc. absorbed its subsidiary, DeCurret DCP Inc., through a merger, and simultaneously changed its name to DCP Inc.
- Question: Please explain the current progress of your data distribution business.
- Answer: In April 2026, we conducted a proof-of-concept demonstration for data collaboration among companies and organizations using "data space" technology.
- Question: Please explain how the utilization of AI will impact IIJ's future business performance. I would appreciate enhanced disclosure to help investors better understand its impact.
- Answer: AI utilization is being pursued within our existing business domain, including network services and systems integration, and we believe that its impact on our performance will be reflected through these businesses. Regarding future disclosures, we have noted your comment.
- Question: Please explain the division of roles between Chairman Suzuki and President Taniwaki.
- Answer: Chairman Suzuki serves as the chair of the Board of Directors and, as the founder of IIJ, plays an important role in setting the overall management direction and ensuring its internal alignment. He is also deeply involved in identifying and developing engineering talent. Important management decisions are made jointly by Chairman Suzuki and President Taniwaki in their roles as Co-CEOs. Meanwhile, President Taniwaki, as COO, oversees the execution of daily business operations.
