IIJ Backbone

The IIJ backbone network is the largest-scale backbone in Japan. This network connects NOCs (Network Operation Centers) using high-capacity, high-speed digital lines. Lines connecting to the United States (most important overseas route) and domestic lines have all been designed using redundant architecture, ensuring an immediate back-up communications route in the event of equipment failure or line trouble. The IIJ NOC has been built in a location incorporating comprehensive safety features, including an uninterruptible power supply, ventilation, fire suppression equipment, and a strict access control system, with technical staff conducting constant system monitoring. Please see the IIJ Backbone page for more information.
