TOKYO-December 12, 2011-Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI,TSE1:3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced it began delivering the IIJ GIO Service to Nulab Inc., since September 2011, to support the Nulab online testing system, Toqlla.
Toqlla is an online testing system developed by Nulab and Seinan Gakuin University as a tool for creating test questions, implementing tests, scoring tests, and releasing the results all online. The system was designed to add to the basic features for conducting tests online, building on the Internet-based testing expertise of Seinan Gakuin University, and providing better test features with reduced operational overhead. It also interfaces with the e-learning system "Moodle" used by many universities.
Nulab began offering Toqlla in October 2010, and they immediately started to consider a cloud-based SaaS system to enable them to quickly expand the number of users and still provide a stable online system. IIJ GIO is flexible-servers and network can be scaled easily-so even when traffic volume spikes, the quality of the service is unaffected, which was an attractive feature. In addition, this performance and the widespread use of IIJ GIO and the IIJ GIO Partner Program across many industries, and the reasonable pricing scheme enables our partners to offer their services at a reasonable price. As a result, Nulab chose IIJ GIO. IIJ concluded the IIJ GIO Partner Program contract with Nulab, and the two companies will continue to build on this relationship into the future through Toqlla sales promotion and other activities.
IIJ will continue to expand the functionality of IIJ GIO to provide our client’s with a secure and safe cloud service.
