Fees waived for customers transferring from Cybozu Office
April 05, 2010
TOKYO-April 5, 2010-Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI, TSE1: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced the April 5, 2010, launch of a cloud promotion campaign for Cybozu Garoon SaaS (*), a groupware service provided over the enterprise-class IIJ GIO cloud service. As part of this campaign, customers who are considering transferring from the Cybozu Office service to the full-featured expandable Cybozu Garoon SaaS service will not have to pay the transfer fee, representing a savings of JPY1.5 million.
Cloud computing is becoming increasingly popular, and a growing number of customers are switching from groupware, e-mail, and other information systems to cloud services. A survey conducted on attendees at the IIJ Cloud Strategy Seminar held on February 16, 2010, show that approximately 30% of those surveyed were considering switching from groupware to cloud services, clearly reflecting this trend. Against this backdrop, IIJ has implemented this campaign to accelerate the adoption of SaaS groupware by corporations and promote the use of cloud services.
