TOKYO--December 16, 2009--Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ,NASDAQ: IIJI, TSE1: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced the December 17 release of LaIT Hikari Connect, a high-speed Internet connection service that uses NTT's FLET'S HIKARI lines, to the LaIT service lineup for small and medium size enterprises.

LaIT Hikari Connect is a broadband Internet connectivity service that is compatible with the B FLET'S, FLET'S HIKARI PREMIUM, and FLET'S HIKARI NEXT lines. For just JPY 2,000 per month, customers can have access to a high-speed Internet environment with a maximum speed of 100Mbps or 200Mbps (*1). There are two options for IP address assignment, dynamic IP or static IP, and with the static IP option, customers can establish their own company Web server and create a VPN network with multiple LaIT Hikari Connect contracts.

LaIT service can be subscribed to entirely over the Internet, and all existing FLET'S HIKARI subscribers can apply for LaIT Hikari Connect online and start service immediately. The interconnected lines between IIJ and NTT EAST/NTT WEST ensure sufficient bandwidth for customer needs, allowing customers to take maximum advantage of the FLET'S HIKARI performance.
