December 09, 2009
TOKYO--December 9, 2009--Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI, TSE1: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today released the fee schedule and detailed service description for GIO Private, a private cloud service delivered on the IIJ GIO (*1) platform announced on October 5, 2009. They also announced a partner support program for IIJ GIO sales partners.
IIJ GIO Private is a cloud service that delivers a flexible system environment that can be tailored to the needs of each customer. The most impressive part of this service is the rich array of options that were designed to meet the needs of any corporate system, providing over 1,000 cloud system configurations. Customers choose their basic server type and the necessary resources (CPU, memory, disk space) and OS, and then select freely from a variety of other options such as storage and network environment, security measures, and monitoring services, enabling the creation of the ideal cloud environment.

Additionally, to promote the use of IIJ GIO, IIJ has created a new partnership program to strengthen IIJ's alliance with partner companies. The program is designed for solution partners who use IIJ GIO to create value-added services for sale to the public, and it provides a evaluation and verification environment, a special consultation desk, technical training and support as well as sales support. The first 100 solution partners to sign up by April 2010 can use the IIJ GIO service for free. A dedicated partner portal site is scheduled to be established in April 2010 to facilitate GIO service sales. The site will provide the latest service information, enable sharing of various documents, provide sales quotes and orders, and list fee and billing information.
There are already several sales tie-ups in the works with solution partners such as TIS Inc., and our goal is to have a total of 300 partner companies within FY2012. IIJ will continue to cooperate with its solution partners to promote the use of SaaS, DaaS, PasS, and other services using the GIO platform, and accelerate the shift to a cloud environment for our customers. Companies that provide the fundamental hardware and software technology and products that support the IIJ GIO service are termed technology partners, and IIJ also plans to engage in technological collaboration and joint marketing with these companies to improve the quality of our service.
