IIJ Expands IIJ Mobile Lineup with New Proprietary Data Communications Card

Introduces the industry's first ExpressCard data communications card compatible with the NTT DOCOMO FOMA HIGH-SPEED Network

February 09, 2009

TOKYO--February 9, 2009--Internet Initiative Japan, Inc., (IIJ,NASDAQ: IIJI, TSE1: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced the March release of a new IIJ-developed communications card for IIJ Mobile, the enterprise-level high-speed mobile data communications service.

The new card, 110FE, is available with IIJ Mobile Service Type D,which works with the NTT DOCOMO FOMA HIGH-SPEED Network, and it is the first ExpressCard data communications card in the industry. This card was developed because the ExpressCard is more compact than the conventional PCMCIA card, which is why it is becoming so popular, and in the near future, some laptops may only come with an ExpressCard slot. In addition to the standard 3G features, this card is also GSM international roaming ready, and can be used in a wide range of countries, particularly those in Asia and Europe.
The 110FE comes installed with driver software that automatically installs when the device is used for the first time. It is compatible with the connection tool IIJ Mobile Secure Link, providing a safer, more convenient mobile business environment.

As part of our 110FE Start Up Campaign, IIJ is waiving the initial fee and the terminal rental fee for customers who apply for the IIJ Mobile Service/Type D Fixed Rate service and also rent a 110FE card by the end of April 2009.
