2004	Apr.	IIJ Media Communications launched IPv6 Live Broadcasting service (Japan's first)
2004	Oct.	Established as a 100% owned subsidiary of IIJ Technology in September 2004, IIJ Financial Systems Inc. received a transfer of business from Yamatane Corporation.'s securities system division. (The company was merged with IIJ Technology in 2010)
2005	Feb.	Internet Multifeed participated in Europe's largest IX carrier group, Euro-IX (Japan's first)
	Mar.	Participated in as a founding member in the establishment of the Japan Email Anti-Abuse Group (JEAG), a working group on anti-spam measures.
	Mar.	Began introducing sender authentication technology (Japan's first)
	Oct.	Reorganized part of IIJ Group
	Dec.	IIJ listed on the Mothers market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange (code: 3774)
2006	Feb.	Jointly established Internet Revolution Inc.(Japanese Text Only), a portal site management company, with Konami Inc.
	Mar.	Introduced Source Address Validation to all connectivity services (Japan's first)

	10月	Established NetChart Inc.(Japanese Only), a network construction company focused on building LANs
	Dec.	Transferred from Mothers' market to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
2007	June	Purchased all shares of Hiho Inc.(Japanese Text Only), from Panasonic Network Services Inc., to make it a 100% owned subsidiary
	July	Invested in Taihei Computers, Co., Ltd.(changed its company name to Trinity Inc.) and jointly operated it with Hirata Corporation
	July	Established Trust Networks Inc.(Japanese Text Only), a company that operates ATMs
	Oct.	Received a patent for SMF-LAN (patent number 4463868)
2008	Jan	Launched IIJ Mobile, an MVNO data communications service for corporate clients
2008	June	Established IIJ Innovation Institute Inc., to develop new Internet related-technology
2009	July	IIJ Research Laboratory was moved under the management of the IIJ Innovation Institute
2009	July	Launched LaIT service for small and medium businesses
2010	Apr.	Reorganized part of the IIJ Group
2010	Sep.	Purchased all shares of AT&T Japan's new subsidiary and relaunched it as IIJ Global Solutions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary providing WAN services
2011	Apr.	Established Matsue Data Center Park, a container-unit data center that uses external air cooling (Japan's first)
2011	Sep.	IIJ Group steps up overseas business development, starting with establishment of an office in Thailand.
2012	Jan.	IIJ Global launched a local office in China.
